Black Hat/Defcon Wrapup(s)

As will most people who went, I'll be putting up a few of the interesting things that happened this week at Black Hat and Defcon. Here's a teaser of what I had the best time with:

• Jeremiah Grossman and RSnake's presentation on Hacking Intranet Apps
• Eugene Tsyrklevich and Vlad Tsyrklevich's prsentation on OpenID
• Major Malfunction's presentation on RFIDiots
• Iron Chef Black Hat by a slew of folks from Fortify Software
• Patrik Karlsson's presentation on SQL Injection and OOB channeling
• Zac Franken's presentation on hacking your access control reader

All in all, it was a good week. Back again for more Defcon tomorrow, then back home. If there's anything I learned this week, it's that I still have a lot to learn. And I think I like being on the solution side of the coin more than being on the problem side of the coin.

Black Hat/Defcon next week

I'll be at Black Hat and Defcon next week, and I hope to see you there. I've already got a pretty full plate of meetups before, during, and after the con. But if you haven't signed up for the OWASP/WASC Cocktail Party, you might go ahead and try. I'm sure the registration is closed by now, but I have a couple of colleagues who tried to sign up pretty recently and still managed to get in - so who knows.

Also, since my paranoia meter goes to 11, I will not be carrying any computing devices with me, save for my mobile phone, so don't expect to see too many posts during that time. I might post some mobile stuff if I see anything photo worthy, but I'm sure many of the other people attending will have the latest scoop for you.
