Mozilla Prism

Mozilla Prism is another Experiment in the Mozilla labs right now. The idea is to make desktop launchers for web-based applications where you launch a prism application, and you're in a browser totally dedicated to that application, which will provide a little better interactivity with the desktop, making web applications feel more like desktop applications.

As a security tester, I love the idea. But the one benefit I would hope to get from it (each webapp being sandboxed, so you can have multiple logins to the same application) is still on the to-do list.

That being said, didn't Java Web Start die already?
